What beta access includes
Beta access opens the tester dashboard and the ACADA Beta room; everything else is the live site, with Stripe in test mode.
acada.ac/beta
Open itACADA is in beta, and sign-up is by invitation until launch. A tester is an account we have given beta access. It opens the tester dashboard at acada.ac/beta and adds you to the ACADA Beta room. Everything else is the same site everyone uses.
How it works
- Getting access
- An admin sets it on your account after your invitation. Admins have the dashboard without it. Without access, /beta says "This dashboard is for testers".
- The ACADA Beta room
- Where testers talk to us and each other, for everything but security findings. You join it when access is set, and leave it if access ends.
- Where you are testing
- The live site and its real database. Stripe is in test mode, so no real money moves, and PayPal runs on its sandbox for Lifetime Access and bundles.
- Extra accounts
- A second student, a creator or an affiliate: ask in the ACADA Beta room. Each is a separate invite, and declared test accounts are allowed alongside your own.
- The Feedback button
- In the corner of every page while the beta is on, signed in or not. Admin pages and the pages email links open do not have it. Everyone has it, tester or not.
Rules and limits
- Test cards work at checkout:
4242 4242 4242 4242succeeds. Getting in lists the cards for a decline, for authentication, for insufficient funds and for a dispute. - There is no separate copy of the site for destructive testing yet. One will be announced in What's new; until then, keep to The beta rules.
- Where this help guide and the site disagree, that is a bug, and worth reporting.
