The waitlist and access codes

During the private beta a new account needs an invite: join the waitlist and we email you a code when a place opens.

ACADA is in private beta, so a new account needs an invite. Leave your email at acada.ac/waitlist, and we email you an invite code when a place opens. Invites go out in batches, oldest request first.

How to join the waitlist

  1. 1.

Open acada.ac/waitlist. The Sign up tab on the sign-in page links to it too.

  2. 2.

Enter your Email address. Name (optional) and Interests (optional) help us, but are not needed.

  3. 3.

Choose Join the waitlist. The page says You're on the list and shows your place in line. An address already on the list gets You're on the list without a number.

What happens next

When your turn comes, an email headed You're in. gives your invite code. Its Create my account button opens sign-up with the code filled in, or you can type the code on the Sign up tab. The code works for 30 days from that email.

Rules and limits

  • A code is 16 characters, and is tied to the address it was sent to. Sign-up fills in that address, so a forwarded code cannot open an account for anyone else.
  • The code is used up the first time you sign in to the new account. Until then, signing up again with it sends another confirmation link.
  • Signing in is never closed: an existing account always gets in.
  • The list can be paused. Then the page says The waitlist is closed for now.

If something goes wrong

"That email address does not look right."
Check it for a typing slip.
"That code is not valid, or it has already been used."
Check it against the email. A code already used signs in, rather than signs up.
"That invite is more than 30 days old, so it has expired…"
Write to support@acada.ac for a new code.
No invite yet
Places open a batch at a time. Joining again with the same address keeps your place, though the page then shows no number.
