Certificates, skills and XP
Finishing a course, the certificate, skills, levels, achievements and the leaderboard.
Finishing a course
Your last lesson opens the course-complete page: your certificate, a 20% code for 30 days, the skills you earned, and 2,000 XP.
Certificates
Finishing a course with certificates on issues one at once: signed, numbered, recording what it took, and yours to add to LinkedIn or download.
Verifying a certificate
Anyone can check a certificate, without an account, by typing its number at acada.ac/verify or scanning its QR code.
When a certificate is withdrawn
We withdraw a certificate only for clear cheating; it then verifies as withdrawn, and you can appeal once within 30 days.
Skills
Finishing a module adds the skills it teaches to your account; they show on your portfolio only if you pin them.
XP and levels
Lessons earn 100 XP, modules 500 and courses 2,000, plus achievements; your total sets one of 15 levels, from Newcomer to Ascendant.
Achievements
Badges for things you have done, each earned once and worth up to 200,000 XP, in five sections on the Achievements page.
Streaks
Visits, lessons, notes, messages and modules each keep a streak; days count in UTC, and a missed day starts it again.
The leaderboard
Members ranked by XP, all-time, over 30 days and over 24 hours; you are on it unless you turn it off in Settings.
