Publishing and running a course
The publish page, prices, editing a live course, students, reviews and analytics.
The pre-publish checklist
Publish course stays off until every line passes: content, listing, price, disclosures, onboarding and your account. Each line links to where it is fixed.
Listing and discovery
Public or invite-only, one category and 3 to 8 skills; search ranks a course by how well it matches, title first.
Price & Access
Paid or Free, Monthly and Lifetime Access above their minimums, a trial, regional pricing and a cap; a price under its minimum is not saved.
Prerequisites
Prerequisites are published, public courses a student must complete before enrolling in yours; a draft or private course cannot be one.
The certificate
Turn certificates on, sign them, and choose the layout, border, typeface, colour and paper; certificates already issued keep their design.
Publish course
The first publish charges $3.00 plus $0.10 per gigabyte, once, then lists the course and makes its room; republishing is free.
Editing a live course
An edit to a live lesson shows when it saves; a new lesson waits until you release it, and nobody is emailed either way.
Student corrections
Students propose new wording with a reason and a source; approving rewrites the passage and earns them 100 XP, and declining can carry a note.
Announcements
A post in the announcements channel notifies every student with access, and emails those who left Course Announcements on.
Bundles
Two or more of your published courses at up to 50% off, taken off before the 70/30 split; discount codes and affiliates do not apply.
Your affiliate programme
Pay affiliates up to 50% of each sale out of your 70%, with an optional buyer discount; commission and collaborator shares never pass 65%.
Unpublishing, retiring or deleting a course
Unpublish stops sales and nothing else; retiring closes the course after 30 days with refunds from your share; delete is for courses nobody joined.
Alerts
Stuck students, unanswered reviews, old drafts, courses unlisted for their rating, and corrections the class backs, each with a link.
Enrollments and Students
Where your students came from, how far they have got, and who shares an email with you; for running the course and nothing else.
Reviewing student work
Assignments, Quiz responses and Questionnaires gather what students hand in; nothing is graded, and a reply goes in the class thread.
Reviews and replying
One public reply per review, civil and on the point; you cannot delete, reward or steer reviews.
Your course room
Publishing makes the room with five channels and makes you its owner; students join and leave it with the course.
Content and Conversion analytics
Content shows where students stop; Conversion shows how often the listing is seen, viewed and joined, and what people searched.
When a course is hidden, unlisted or reported
A low rating unlists a course until it recovers; a moderation decision is emailed with its reason and can be appealed within 30 days.
