Verifying a certificate
Anyone can check a certificate, without an account, by typing its number at acada.ac/verify or scanning its QR code.
acada.ac/verify
Anyone can check an ACADA certificate at acada.ac/verify, with no account. The page says whether the certificate is valid, who holds it, for which course, and what it took. Scanning the QR code on a certificate opens its page directly.
How to check a certificate
- 1.
Open
acada.ac/verify. - 2.
Type the number from the certificate, printed after Credential ID, in Check a certificate.
- 3.
Choose Verify.
What the page shows
- Valid.
- The holder completed every lesson of the course, on the date shown.
- Withdrawn.
- ACADA withdrew the certificate, and it no longer records a completion.
- Holder, Course, Creator
- Who holds it, the course, and who made the course.
- Completed
- The date the holder finished.
- Signed by the creator
- The signature the certificate carries, and when the creator gave it.
- Number
- The certificate's number.
- What it took
- What the holder did, as counted when it was issued. It lists lessons, the time estimate, quizzes passed with pass marks, and work handed in.
- Skills the course lists
- The course's skills that an ACADA admin has approved.
- Identity verified
- Beside the creator, when Stripe has confirmed who they are. It says nothing about their qualifications.
- The holder updated the name on this certificate…
- The name was changed after the certificate was issued, on the date given.
Rules and limits
- A certificate hidden from its holder's portfolio still verifies.
- A certificate from a course that has since closed still verifies, with the note The course has since closed. The completion stands.
- Capitals, spaces and hyphens do not matter when you type a number.
- Quizzes are marked automatically against the creator's answers, and retakes are allowed. Assignments and discussions are counted when handed in, not graded.
- We confirm certificates on this page only, never by email.
If something goes wrong
- "No certificate with this number."
- Check the number. Numbers never use 0, O, 1 or I. A certificate whose holder deleted their account no longer verifies.
- "Issued before signatures were introduced"
- The certificate was issued before creators signed certificates. It is still valid.
