Finishing a course
Your last lesson opens the course-complete page: your certificate, a 20% code for 30 days, the skills you earned, and 2,000 XP.
A course is complete when you have marked every lesson in it complete. A lesson with a required quiz, assignment or discussion can be marked only once that is done. Your last Mark as complete opens the course-complete page.
What's on it
- The certificate
- If the course gives one, it heads the page, with buttons to add it to LinkedIn and to download it. Click it to open it full screen. See Certificates.
- You earned a completion discount
- A code for 20% off any course, valid for 30 days. It is kept in My Discounts, in your profile menu.
- Your recap
- Your level and the course's modules, lessons and length, then the XP to your next level.
- Skills earned
- The skills from the course that are new to you. Press one to pin it to your portfolio, and again to unpin it.
- What's Next
- Courses to take next, then the creator's other courses and who made this one.
- Leave a review
- Stars and, if you like, a few words. See Rating and reviewing a course.
Rules and limits
- Finishing earns 2,000 XP, on top of the 100 for each lesson and 500 for each module along the way. Your first finished course also unlocks Course Complete, worth 5,000.
- You get one completion code per course. There is none if you teach the course, or if your enrolment was refunded, left or has run out.
- The 2,000 XP is not paid if you had left the course or it was refunded.
- Finishing does not change your access. Lifetime access stays, and a subscription runs until you cancel it.
- You can go back to any lesson. Un-marking one later does not take away XP, skills or the certificate.
If something goes wrong
- "You teach this course, so you cannot review it."
- The people who teach a course cannot review it.
- "You have earned commission on this course, so you cannot review it."
- An affiliate paid for a course cannot review it.
- "You can review a course 3 days after you enroll in it…"
- Come back on the date shown. The review form is also on the course's Ratings & Reviews tab.
- "Your review was not saved…"
- Check your connection and choose Submit review again.
- "The skill was not pinned. Try again."
- Press the skill again.
