Payout schedules and the minimum
You are paid from $20 of cleared earnings, weekly, twice a month, monthly or when you ask, and each payout is your whole balance.
Creator Dashboard → Payouts
Open itOnce your cleared earnings reach $20, you are paid on a schedule you choose, or whenever you ask. A payout is always your whole cleared balance. We send it within 1 day, and Stripe or PayPal usually pay you within 1 to 3 business days after that.
How it works
| Payout Frequency | When you are paid |
|---|---|
| Weekly (Mondays) | Every Monday. |
| Twice a month (1st and 15th) | The 1st and the 15th of each month. |
| Monthly (1st) | The 1st of each month. |
| Only when I withdraw | Only when you choose Request Payout. |
Payouts run once a day, at 13:00 UTC. On your payout day, we create the payout and send it if your cleared balance meets your minimum and your preferred method is ready. A payout you ask for goes out on the next run.
An example
You choose Twice a month (1st and 15th) with the $20 minimum. On the 15th your cleared balance is $63.40, and $21 is still clearing. We send $63.40 that day. The $21 goes out on the 1st, once it has cleared.
How to withdraw now
- 1.
Open Creator Dashboard → Payouts. Withdraw Earnings shows your whole cleared balance.
- 2.
Under Payout Method, choose Stripe or PayPal. A method that cannot be paid into is greyed out, with the reason beside it.
- 3.
Choose Request Payout. Payout of $63.40 requested. confirms it.
You can withdraw whenever your cleared balance meets your minimum. Below it, a bar shows how much more you need.
What you can change
Under Payment Methods, set Payout Frequency, Preferred Payout Method and Minimum Payout ($20 or more), then choose Save Preferences. You can raise the minimum but not lower it below $20; a lower figure is saved as $20, and the message says so.
Rules and limits
- One payout can be in progress at a time.
- Scheduled payouts go to your preferred method only. If it cannot be paid into, Payout Status says so and nothing is sent until you fix it or switch.
- Payout Status shows Available Balance, Clearing (14 days), Pending, Processing and Next Scheduled Payout. Payout History lists every payout with its status and reference.
- When we close your creator role for a reason other than fraud, earnings are paid every day as they clear, with no minimum. While a closure for fraud stands, nothing is paid automatically.
If something goes wrong
If Stripe or PayPal refuses a payout, we email you that day with the reason, and the amount returns to your available balance. Fix the method, then choose Request Payout, or let your next scheduled payout take it.
PayPal can also send a payout back after accepting it, for example when no PayPal account uses the email address on your method. While PayPal holds it, we tell you in the app: claim it at PayPal within 30 days. If it comes back, it counts as failed: we email you and the amount returns to your balance.
- "You already have a payout in progress."
- Wait for it to finish. Payout History shows where it is.
- "Balance is below the minimum payout threshold"
- Your cleared balance is under your minimum.
- "Your Stripe account is not ready to receive payouts yet…"
- Finish its setup under Payment Methods, then try again.
- "PayPal payouts are for creators outside the United States…"
- Confirm under Payment Methods that you live outside the US, or use Stripe.
- …is not ready under Next Scheduled Payout
- Your preferred method cannot be paid into. Finish setting it up, or make the other method your preferred one.
