ACADA aims at WCAG 2.2 AA, with settings for theme, text size, motion and contrast; a reported barrier gets a reply within 2 business days.

Open itACADA aims to meet WCAG 2.2 at Level AA. No full specialist audit has been done, so that is an aim, not a claim, and what falls short is listed below. A barrier you report gets a reply within 2 business days.
What the app provides
- Keyboard
- Every control can be reached and used. Skip to content is the first Tab stop on every page. Focus is outlined, and dialogs keep focus inside them, close with Escape and return you where you were.
- Screen readers
- Buttons, links, menus, switches and dialogs have names and announce their state. Messages that appear after an action are announced.
- Media
- A course's preview video shows captions when the creator added a captions file. An audio block has Show transcript when the creator wrote one. Lesson images carry the creator's description.
- Time limits
- Nothing times out while you read, answer a quiz or write. Only sign-in sessions and emailed codes expire.
What you can change
Settings → Appearance holds these, kept in this browser only. Browser zoom works everywhere as well.
- Under Theme, choose Light, Dark, System Default, Aqua, Amber or Velvet.
- Under Text Size, choose Small, Medium or Large.
- Reduce motion turns off animations and transitions. A device set to reduce motion is followed even with this off.
- Increase contrast darkens borders and secondary text and strengthens buttons.
Known limitations
- In the Dark theme, text on teal buttons falls short of the contrast target. Increase contrast fixes it.
- Videos embedded from YouTube, Vimeo, Loom or Wistia, and boards from Figma or Miro, use those companies' players and controls.
- Some courses lack image descriptions, captions or transcripts because the creator did not add them. We do not check before publishing.
- The whiteboard and the graphing tool need a mouse, trackpad or touch screen to draw.
- Some dense screens in the Creator Dashboard and in chat may scroll sideways at the largest text size or in a narrow window.
Reporting a barrier
On the support form, choose Accessibility barrier. Say what you were trying to do, what stopped you, and what you use, such as a screen reader and its version, or keyboard only. If it is in a course, name the course.
A person replies within 2 business days. For ACADA's own screens, the reply says what we will change and when. For a course, we ask the creator to fix it, tell you that we have, and tell you again when they respond.
If a barrier stops you using a course you paid for, we have 30 days from your report to get it fixed. If it is not, we refund the purchase in full. The statement in full is Accessibility.
