Portfolio sections
Hide any section of your portfolio from everyone else in Edit Portfolio, or hide single certificates and courses inside a section.
My Portfolio → Edit Portfolio
Open itEach part of your portfolio is a section you can show or hide. A hidden section is hidden from everyone else, and the data behind it is held back too, not only the heading. Inside some sections you can also hide single items.
How to hide a section
- 1.
Open your portfolio and choose Edit Portfolio.
- 2.
Under Portfolio Sections, turn off the switch for the section.
- 3.
Choose Save.
The sections
| Section | What it shows | Inside it |
|---|---|---|
| Certificates | The certificates you have earned. | Hide or show each one while editing. |
| Skills | The skills you pinned. | Add Skills, or remove one. |
| Achievements | Your badges. | |
| Enrolled Courses | The courses you take or have finished. | Hide or show each one while editing. |
| Completed Assignments | The submissions you chose to show. | Remove one. |
| Followers | The list of people who follow you. | |
| Following | The list of people you follow. | |
| Follower Counts | The two numbers under your name. |
Creators, collaborators, affiliates and press authors have more sections. See Courses, collaborations and affiliate stats on your portfolio.
Rules and limits
- Hiding a single certificate or course takes effect at once. Section switches take effect when you choose Save.
- A section you hide disappears from your own view of the page too. Turn its switch back on to see it.
- A hidden certificate still verifies by its number. A withdrawn certificate is never shown.
- A hidden Enrolled Courses section also keeps your courses out of In common on other people's view of your page.
- A follow shows on a list only where both people show their side. Hide your Following list and you are left off the Followers list of everyone you follow.
- The counts include everyone, so they can be higher than a list. Hide Follower Counts to show no numbers, with or without the lists.
- Settings → Privacy links here, under Choose what shows on your portfolio.
