Ending a collaboration
Either side can end it at any time; edit access and credit stop at once, and everything already earned is still paid.
A creator can remove a collaborator, and a collaborator can leave, at any time. Edit access, credit and new earnings stop at once. Free access to the course, and everything already credited, stay.
How to leave
- 1.
In the Creator Dashboard, find the course under My Collaborations or on Overview.
- 2.
Choose Leave, then Confirm leave.
The creator is told in the app.
How to remove a collaborator
- 1.
Open Course Settings → Collaborators, or Creator Dashboard → Collaborators.
- 2.
Choose the bin icon on their row, then Yes.
We tell them in the app and, if they had accepted, by email. Before they accept, the same icon withdraws the invitation, and we tell them it was withdrawn.
What happens next
| Part | What stops | What stays |
|---|---|---|
| Edit access | Their next save is refused. | What they added stays in the course, under the licence they gave. |
| Earnings | Nothing is earned on later charges. | Everything credited so far, paid as it clears, apart from later refunds or chargebacks of those charges. |
| Credit | The name comes off the course page, its cards, its room and the portfolio. | The record of the role, in Collaboration earnings and in your data download. |
| Course access | Nothing. | Lifetime Access, for as long as the course runs. |
Changes short of ending it
The creator can rename the role, narrow the permissions or change the share, to 0 included, at any time and without notice. Permissions apply on the collaborator's next save, and a share from the next charge.
If the course closes
The collaborator earns on every charge until the course closes. They keep the access a Lifetime Access student has, under section 10 of Purchases, Refunds & Subscriptions. A course never passes to a collaborator, including when its creator leaves ACADA.
Rules and limits
- Someone who left or was removed can be invited again.
- A disagreement about a rate or credit is between the two of you. We pay what the ledger says, and both of you can see every credit (section 11 of the Collaborator Terms).
- If we end a collaborator role under Account Enforcement & Appeals, earnings from genuine sales are still paid; earnings from fraud are withheld.
