Filters, sorting and layout

Narrow the courses by category, level, price and skill, and sort them 12 ways; prices compare as they are shown to you.

Marketplace → Filters

Open it

The marketplace and the search results page share one set of filters, in a panel beside the courses. The arrow on its edge hides or shows it. On a phone the filters sit in a bar under the header. Filters combine, and the courses update as you change them.

What's on it

The order of the courses, explained below.
Category
All categories, or one of them. On the marketplace the tabs under the search box make the same choice.

Level
All levels, Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced.
Price
A slider from $0 up to the next $50 above the dearest course, and at least to $100.
Columns
On a phone, one or two columns of cards.

Sorting

Newest and Oldest go by publish date, and A to Z and Z to A by title. The others work like this.

Relevance
On the search results page, how well each course matches what you typed. On the marketplace, the same as Newest.
Most enrolled
The most students first.
Highest rated
The highest average first, among courses with 10 or more reviews. Courses with fewer follow.
Most reviewed
The most reviews first.
Price: low to high, Price: high to low
By the cheapest plan, as priced for you. A free course counts as $0.
Quickest to finish, Most in-depth
By the lessons' lengths added up.

Rules and limits

  • The price filter and the price sorts use the price shown to you. That is your country's price where the course takes part in regional pricing, and the list price elsewhere.
  • On the search results page the filters are part of the page's address, so a copied link keeps them. On the marketplace they clear when you leave.
  • A category page has a shorter set of its own: All Courses, Free or Paid, and a search box that matches titles, descriptions and skills.
