Signing in and staying signed in

Sign in with your email and password, or Google or GitHub; with two-factor on, every sign-in also asks for a code.

acada.ac/login

Open it

Sign in at acada.ac/login with your email address and password, or with Google or GitHub. With two-factor authentication on, every sign-in also asks for a code. You stay signed in on that browser until you sign out, or are signed out from another device.

How to sign in

  1. 1.

Open acada.ac/login, on the Sign in tab.

  2. 2.

Enter your Email address and Password and choose Sign in, or choose Continue with Google or Continue with GitHub.

  3. 3.

If two-factor authentication is on, type the 6-digit code from your app on Verify it's you, or choose Use a backup code instead.

You land on the page you were going to, or on your dashboard.

What happens next

Your first sign-in sends a welcome email. After that, a sign-in from a browser and system new to your account sends an email headed New sign-in to your ACADA account. Settings → Security lists Active Sessions, Login History and Connected Sign-In Methods.

If your account is due to be deleted, a window headed Account pending deletion gives the date. Reactivate account cancels the deletion; Cancel signs you out again.

Rules and limits

  • Google or GitHub signs you in when that service uses the same email address as your account.
  • Signing out of one device leaves the others signed in. Sign them out from Active sessions.
  • Signing in is never closed, even while new accounts need an invite.

If something goes wrong

"That email address and password do not match an account…"
Check both, or see Resetting a forgotten password.
"Confirm your email address first…"
Open the link we sent at sign-up. Signing up again with the same address sends a new one.
"Too many tries in a short time…"
Wait a minute, then try again.
"This account has been closed…"
The appeal form at acada.ac/appeal works without signing in: see Enforcement and appeals.
Lost the phone with your authenticator
Use a backup code: see Backup codes.
