Finding your way around

The sidebar moves you between areas and the header holds search, tools and your account; on a phone, the bottom bar and Menu.

On a computer, the sidebar on the left takes you between the main areas. The header across the top holds search, tools and your account. On a phone, a bar along the bottom replaces the sidebar, and Menu holds the rest.

The sidebar

ItemWhat it opens
DashboardYour courses and tasks. Its arrow lists your courses, each with its progress and the days of access left.
Marketplace, Social, Achievements, LeaderboardEvery course; rooms, messages and people; your badges and level; members ranked by XP.
AboutThe pages about ACADA.
Help & supportThis guide, and the way to reach a person.
Your dashboardsAdmin Dashboard and Beta Dashboard when you have them; Creator Dashboard, or Become a Creator; Affiliate Dashboard once you join.
SettingsAt the bottom.

A dot on Dashboard means new course material or an unread academic notification. On Social, an unread message or social notification; on Achievements, a new badge or level. On the marketplace, search, a course's page, rooms and settings the sidebar shrinks to icons and opens when you point at it. Inside a course, the course has its own panel instead.

The header

  • Search: the box on wide screens, the magnifier on narrower ones. See Search.
  • Language, the ACADA Assistant, and the bell for notifications, with a count of unread ones.
  • Achievements and the bag, which shows how many courses are in it.
  • Quick tools: Notebook, Calculator, Flashcards, Converter and Whiteboard.
  • Your picture opens the account menu: your level and XP, My Portfolio, My Discounts, Account Settings and Sign out.

Under the header, a trail of links shows where you are, starting from Dashboard.

On a phone

The bottom bar has Dashboard, Marketplace and Social, then Menu. Menu opens a panel with your dashboards, About, Help & support, Achievements, Leaderboard, My Discounts, the tools, Settings and Sign out. Your picture in the header opens your portfolio.

Swiping left anywhere also opens the menu. Inside a course, the bottom bar holds the course's Overview, Material and Chat instead. It has no Menu button, so swipe left to open the menu there.
