Open itAsk for a reset link at acada.ac/forgot-password, open it in the same browser, and choose a new password. The link only sets a password: it does not sign you in. Setting it signs your account out on every device.
How to reset your password
- 1.
On the sign-in page, choose Forgot password?.
- 2.
Enter the Email address on your account and choose Send reset link.
- 3.
Open the link in the email, in the same browser.
- 4.
Type the new password in New password and Confirm password, then choose Set new password.
- 5.
Choose Sign in, and sign in with the new password and, if it is on, your two-factor code.
What happens next
The page shows Password changed. Every device signed in to your account is signed out, so anyone else who had it is out too. We email you that the password changed.
Rules and limits
- Once opened, a link gives you 15 minutes to choose the password, and it works once.
- It works only in the browser that asked for it.
- The new password follows the same 5 rules as at sign-up.
- An account made with Google or GitHub has no password until you set one this way.
- To change a password you still know, see Changing your password.
If something goes wrong
- No email arrives
- Check the address, then spam. For privacy, the page answers the same whether or not an account uses it.
- Reset link expired
- The link was used, timed out, or was opened in another browser. Choose Ask for a new link.
- "That link has to be opened in the browser you used…"
- Ask for a new link from the browser you will use.
- "Too many tries in a short time…"
- Wait a minute before asking again.
- "Passwords do not match."
- Type the same password in both boxes.
