The bag and the wishlist

Add courses to your bag from their pages, or save them with the bookmark, and check the bag out one payment at a time.

Header → Bag

Open it

Your bag holds what you mean to buy, with the plan you chose, and its Checkout column pays for it all. On a phone, Checkout in the bar at the foot of the screen opens it. The bookmark on a course card or course page, Save for later, keeps a course on your wishlist instead. Both are on the Bag page, from the bag icon in the header.

How to fill your bag

  1. 1.

    Open the course's page.

  2. 2.

If it sells both plans, choose one in the buy box.

  3. 3.

Choose the bag icon beside the buy button. It turns into a tick that opens the bag.

A paid course card has Add to bag in its ⋯ menu too. A course you saved with the bookmark waits under Saved for Later on the Bag page: Add to Bag there moves it into the bag. A course that sells two plans shows them under its card in the bag, with the chosen one marked, and you can change it there. A bundle goes into the bag from Add Bundle to Bag, on the Bundles page or a creator's portfolio.

How to pay for your bag

  1. 1.

Check the plan under each course's card. One with no plan chosen shows Choose a plan:.

  2. 2.

If you have a code, type it in the field under Checkout and choose Apply. It goes on every course it is valid for, one course for each use you have of it.

  3. 3.

Check the Total, in your country's prices, and choose Pay · [total].

  4. 4.

Pay for the first paid item on Stripe's page.

  5. 5.

If anything is left to pay, choose Pay for the next [N] items in your bag on the confirmation page, until all are paid.

What happens next

Free courses in the bag are joined at once, with no payment. Each paid course or bundle is a payment of its own, with its own receipt, and leaves the bag when it is paid. If you leave Stripe's page without paying, you come back to the bag with your code kept and nothing charged. If everything was free, the button reads Enroll, and the bag then says you are enrolled.

Rules and limits

  • Nothing in the bag or on the wishlist is charged or held for you. A course can fill up or change price while it waits.
  • Paying from the bag goes through Stripe. To pay with PayPal, buy the course from its own page.
  • Before discounts shows above the total when something comes off: a code, a bundle discount, or a creator-funded discount for buyers an affiliate sent.
  • A discount code goes on one course per use. A code you can use once takes off the course where it saves most, and the others are full price; the field under Checkout says so.
  • When a full course on your wishlist or in your bag has a seat free, we email you. Saving the course again asks for the next one. Turn that off under Settings → Email Preferences → Course Availability.

If something goes wrong

An item checkout cannot take stays in your bag, and the Bag page names it with the reason.

"Choose a plan for every course before paying."
A course sells more than one plan. Pick one in its Choose a plan: row.
"That code does not work on anything in your bag…"
Clear the field to pay the full price, or try another code.
"This code cannot go on as many courses as your bag showed…"
A use of the code was spent since you applied it, in another tab or purchase. Choose Apply again to see where it works now. Nothing was charged.
"These [N] items were not checked out. They are still in your bag."
Each line says why: the course is full, needs other courses first, or is no longer on sale. Remove it, or check out again once that changes.
"Enrolling in courses is restricted on your account."
An enforcement step stops new enrolments for now. See Account standing and appeals.
"Sign in to view your bag"
The bag and the wishlist belong to an account. Sign in, or create one.
