Your referral link and vanity code

One code works on every course that pays a commission; a link is that code pointed at one course, copied from the Courses page.

You have one code, and it works on every course that pays a commission. A link is that code pointed at one course: acada.ac/join/ and the course, then ?ref= and your code. Copy either from Affiliate Dashboard → Courses.

How it works

A link takes someone to the course, after one question about remembering who sent them. The code on its own is for places a link cannot follow, such as a podcast. The buyer types it on the course page, under Add a discount or referral code, or in the bag.

Either way, the sale is credited to you on that course. How a sale is credited to you covers the rules.

  1. 1.

    Open Affiliate Dashboard → Courses.

  2. 2.

Find the course, under Promoting or Looking for something to promote.

  3. 3.

    Choose Copy beside its link.

Share in a course card's menu, or in the course itself, also gives a link with your code on it.

How to change your code

  1. 1.

On the Overview, under Your Referral Code, choose the pencil.

  2. 2.

Type the new code and press Enter.

Your old code moves to Older codes, still crediting you. Every link you shared with it keeps crediting you, and nobody else can claim it while your account exists.

Rules and limits

  • A code is 4 to 24 letters and numbers, with no spaces or symbols. Links ignore capitals.
  • Nothing containing ACADA, and nothing that reads as a staff, support or official account. A code made of REF and 8 letters and numbers is kept for the codes we generate.
  • You can hold 10 codes in all, the one we generated included. Switching back to one of your own older codes does not use one up.
  • Your code and links credit nobody while you are out of the programme, and the Courses page shows no links then.

If something goes wrong

"That code is already taken. Try another."
Someone holds it, now or in the past.
"That code is reserved. Pick something that is not an ACADA name."
It contains ACADA or is one of the reserved words.
"You have used all 10 of your referral codes."
Switch back to one of your older codes instead.
"Use 4 to 24 letters and numbers, no spaces or symbols."
The code is too short or too long.
