Text blocks
Section Header, Text Block, Callout, Divider, List and Collapsible Section, each with its own options.
Six blocks carry the reading: Section Header, Text Block, Callout, Divider, List and Collapsible Section. Each has its options in a bar along its top while you edit.
The blocks
| Block | Its options |
|---|---|
| Section Header | Level h1, h2 or h3; a left bar, an underline or neither; alignment; and an optional subtitle, emoji and rule under it. |
| Text Block | Size small, base or large; alignment; and bold or italic for the whole block. |
| Callout | Info, success, warning or error. |
| Divider | Solid, dashed or dotted; thin, medium or thick; its colour and the space around it. |
| List | Bullets, numbers, a checklist or steps, with spacing, dividers, a starting number, and an emoji and one indent per item. |
| Collapsible Section | A title, a hint under it, open or closed to start, and its icon. The content takes bold, italic, code and strikethrough. |
Which to use
- Use steps when order matters, and bullets when it does not.
- A checklist is the student's own, ticked in their browser. It does not count towards finishing the lesson.
- Use a collapsible section for the detail most readers skip and some need.
- Keep callouts to one or two per lesson, for what must not be missed.
