Thread

A Thread block brings a thread from the course room into a lesson, so students discuss the lesson where they read it. Pick an existing thread or start a new one from the block.

How to add one

1. 1.

   Save the lesson once, then add a Thread block.

2. 2.

   Pick a thread from the course room, or create one in a channel there.

3. 3.

   Thread selected confirms it.

Rules and limits

• The course room is made when the course is first published, so a draft course has no threads to pick from yet.
• The thread is the same one in the room: a reply in either place shows in both.
• Threads stay until someone deletes them. If the thread or its channel is deleted, the block says the thread is not available.

If something goes wrong

"Save this lesson first…"

Make any change so the lesson saves, then try again.

"This course doesn't have a room with channels yet."

Publish the course, which makes its room.

"No threads in this course's room yet — create one below."

Create the first one from the block.
