Assignment
Students hand in a file, text or links, only of the kinds you allow, with a rubric and an optional requirement.
An assignment asks students to make something and hand it in. Their work goes to the class's Submitted Assignments, where classmates can comment and vote, and to you in the Creator Dashboard under Assignments.
What's on it
- Instructions
- What to make.
- Rubric
- What good work looks like. Students see it as Rubric; nothing on ACADA is graded.
- Submission types
- File Upload, Text Response and Link / URL. Turn on any; at least one stays on. File and text start on.
- Estimated Time
- In minutes or H:MM. It is added to the lesson's duration and shown in the assignments list.
- Required
- Students must submit before they can complete the lesson.
- Students name their work
- Asks each student for a title.
Rules and limits
- A student hands in one kind per submission, and only the kinds you turned on.
- A link submission takes up to 10 links.
- Submitting again replaces the earlier work; comments on it stay.
- Classmates can vote work up or down in Submitted Assignments.
- Ask for nothing sensitive or personal, under the Course Content Policy.
If something goes wrong
- "This assignment does not take that kind of submission"
- The student tried a kind you turned off.
