Login history
Your last 10 sign-ins with the device and IP address, and the email we send when a device we have not seen before signs in.
Settings → Security → Login History
Open itLogin History lists your last 10 sign-ins, newest first, each with the device, the IP address and the time. We also email you when your account is signed in to from a device we have not seen before.
What's on it
- Signed in
- One sign-in, with the browser and system beside it, for example Chrome on macOS.
- IP address and time
- Where the sign-in came from, and when, in your own time zone.
How it works
Each sign-in is recorded once, whether with a password, Google or GitHub. Opening another tab, or coming back to one, is not a new sign-in. Records are kept for 12 months: Settings shows the last 10, and your data export has them all. See Downloading your data.
The new-device email
When a browser and system that have never signed in to your account do so, we email you. The subject is New sign-in to your ACADA account, and the email gives the device, an approximate location and the time. If it was you, there is nothing to do.
A second computer with the same browser and system counts as seen before, so it sends no email. The first sign-in to a new account gets the welcome email instead.
If something goes wrong
- A sign-in you do not recognise
- Change your password at once, which signs out every other device, then turn on two-factor authentication. See Changing your password.
- The location in the email looks wrong
- It comes from the IP address and is approximate. Mobile networks and VPNs often show a place some distance away.
- "No sign-ins recorded yet."
- We have no sign-ins on record for the last 12 months.
