Listing and discovery
Public or invite-only, one category and 3 to 8 skills; search ranks a course by how well it matches, title first.
Editor → Settings → Listing
Course Settings → Listing decides who can find the course and how. You can change it at any time, and nothing saves until you choose Save changes. Only the course's creator can change its visibility.
What's on it
- Visibility
- Public Marketplace: listed, searchable, and open to anyone. Private / Invite Only: off the marketplace and out of search, reachable by its link only.
- Category
- One category, required. It is a marketplace section and a filter.
- Skills
- What someone can do once they finish, from 3 to 8. Pick from the list, or propose a new skill when nothing fits.
How search ranks a course
By how well a search matches the title first, then the skills, the category and the course code, then the description, then the modules. Typos are forgiven and synonyms are known. A small boost goes to courses with more students, a rating and a recent publish date, but it never beats a better match.
Rules and limits
- A course rated under 3.0 by 10 or more students is no longer listed until its rating recovers.
- A title may not contain the word ACADA (Trademark).
- Creator Dashboard → Conversion → Search Performance shows the searches that led people to your course.
If something goes wrong
- "Category is required to continue."
- Choose a category.
- "Nothing was saved. You may not have permission…"
- Your collaborator role does not include the listing.
