Your affiliate programme
Pay affiliates up to 50% of each sale out of your 70%, with an optional buyer discount; commission and collaborator shares never pass 65%.
Editor → Settings → Affiliates
Course Settings → Affiliates lets other people earn a share for selling your course. They share a link or code; you decide what a sale pays them. The commission comes out of your 70%, so it costs ACADA nothing.
What's on it
- Affiliate programme
- The switch. It takes effect on the next new sale.
- Commission
- Above 0% and at most 50% of what the buyer pays, on that sale and every renewal.
- Buyer discount
- 0% to 15% off for a buyer who arrives through an affiliate. It comes off before the split.
- What a Sale Pays, What It Costs You
- One sale at your cheapest tier, with and without an affiliate.
- Who Can Earn It
- Anyone who has joined the affiliate programme, except you and your collaborators. Nobody needs approving.
An example
Take a $100 course with a 20% commission and no buyer discount. We keep $30, as on any sale, the affiliate earns $20, and you keep $50 instead of $70. A 10% buyer discount makes it a $90 sale: $27, $18 and $45.
Rules and limits
- The commission and your collaborators' shares together never pass 65% of a sale. Switching the programme on fits the commission into what is left.
- A sale keeps the rate it was made at, renewals included.
- Switching off, unpublishing, retiring, a moderation hide or a copyright hold stops new attributions. An unlisting does not.
- A free course earns affiliates nothing until it has a price.
If something goes wrong
- "Collaborators on this course already take…"
- There is no room left for a commission until a collaborator's share comes down.
- "Could not save the affiliate programme."
- Nothing was saved. Try again.
