The enrolment questionnaire
A creator can ask a few questions the first time you open a course; only the creator reads your answers.
A creator can ask a few questions the first time you open their course: what you already know, say, or what you hope to learn. If the questionnaire is required, the course opens once you answer. If it is optional, Skip to the course takes you in. The questions then wait at Course Questionnaire, at the foot of the course sidebar.
How it works
- There are four kinds of question: one answer from a list, several from a list, a short text, and a rating from 1 to 5. A question marked * must be answered.
- Only the creator reads your answers, in their Creator Dashboard. Collaborators and other students do not see them.
- An optional questionnaire is put in front of you once. Opening it counts, whether you answer or skip.
- If the creator turns the questionnaire on, or makes it required, after you enrolled, it comes up the next time you open the course.
How to change your answers
- 1.
Choose Your Questionnaire Answers at the foot of the course sidebar, under Overview or Material. On a phone, swipe right to open the sidebar first.
- 2.
Choose Edit and resubmit. The form opens with your last answers in it.
- 3.
Change what you want and choose Submit.
Rules and limits
- The creator cannot change the questions once anyone has answered them.
- Each time you resubmit, the creator receives your new answers. Your earlier ones stay with them too.
If something goes wrong
- "Your answers were not sent…"
- Nothing was saved, and your answers are still in the form. Check your connection and choose Submit again.
- "This field is required"
- A question marked * needs an answer before you can submit.
