The course workspace
A rail switches between Overview, Material and Chat; Overview holds six tabs, from the curriculum to billing.
Open a course you are enrolled in and you are in its workspace. A narrow rail on the left switches between Overview, Material and Chat, and the sidebar beside it shows what you picked. On a phone the sidebar starts closed: open it from the bar at the foot of the screen.
What's on it

- Material
- The modules, each opening to its lessons. The lesson you are on is marked, completed lessons are ticked, and a lesson added since you enrolled has a dot until you open it.
- Chat
- The course room and its channels. See Course rooms.
The tabs
| Tab | What it holds |

| Course Overview | The course details, the skills it teaches, your progress, the certificate and who made the course. |
| Course Curriculum | Every module with its time and your progress, then your tasks, the key terms, every assignment, the Resource Library and a preview of the certificate. |
| Submitted Assignments | The class feed: the work everyone has handed in, with comments and votes. |
| Ratings & Reviews | Every review of the course, and yours once you can write one. |
| Classroom Roster | Who else is taking the course and how recently each was active, 24 to a page. Sort by Most Active or Name (A-Z), or search by name. |
| Billing & Subscription | Your access, any subscription, the payment method, receipts, refunds and Support & Help. |
At the foot of every tab are Rate and Share, and under More, Report and Leave.
Rules and limits
- The roster shows names and activity. Nobody's progress is shown to classmates.
- People you have blocked do not appear on the roster.
- Someone following a free-preview link sees the preview lessons alone. See Free preview lessons.
- The course's card on your dashboard has Share, Leave course and Report course in its menu too.
If something goes wrong
- "Your access is paused"
- A payment did not go through. Update your card on that screen, and the course opens again once the payment succeeds.
- "Your access has expired"
- The access you paid for has run out. Buy the course again from its page to come back.
- "This course has been retired"
- The course has closed. See When a course closes.
- "We could not load this course"
- Check your connection and reload the page.
