Selecting text in a lesson

Select lesson text to copy it with its source, add it to your Notebook, highlight it, correct it or ask the Assistant.

Select text in a lesson and a small panel appears with what you can do with it. A selection snaps to whole words, and the panel shows how many characters you picked.

What's on it

Copy
Copies the passage with a line saying where it came from: the course, the module number and the lesson number.
Add Note
Saves the passage under Highlights & Quotes in your Notebook, and opens the Notebook.
Highlight
Colours the passage, for you only. Highlights come back when you reopen the lesson and are listed in the Notebook.
Correct
Proposes new wording for the creator to approve or decline. See Correcting a lesson.
Ask the Assistant
Sends the passage to the ACADA Assistant, which explains it or says more about it.

Rules and limits

  • Highlight and Correct work inside a lesson. On a module page the panel offers Copy, Add Note and Ask the Assistant.
  • Outside the course's material, the panel offers Copy only.
  • Clicking a highlight opens the Notebook.
  • A highlight disappears if the creator rewrites that passage.
