Reading the blocks

Lessons use 20 kinds of block; tables sort and download, code and maths copy, and content from other sites asks first.

Lessons are built from 20 kinds of block. Most are there to read. These are the ones you can do something with.

BlockWhat you can do
ChecklistTick items off. The ticks are kept in this browser and do not count as progress.
CollapsibleOpen and close it.
TableSort by a column when the table has a header row, and filter it in Filter rows… if the creator turned that on. Download CSV downloads every row.
CodeCopy it with one button. Lines the creator marked are highlighted, and long code expands.
MathsRead the working line by line. If the creator set it, Next step shows one more line at a time. Each line's copy button copies its LaTeX.
ChartHover over a point to read its value.
ImageView full size.
VideoPlay it in place. A YouTube video can start and stop where the creator set.
AudioPlay it in place, with Show transcript if there is one.
FileDownload it. Every file in the course is also in the Resource Library.
EmbedA Figma board, a CodePen, a Google Doc or one of 16 services shown in place. Any other link opens in a new tab.

The blocks you answer have articles of their own: Quizzes, Polls, Assignments, Discussions and Threads inside lessons.

Content from other sites

Videos, embeds and audio from other sites wait until you choose Load once or Always load from that site. Loading them lets the site see your IP address and set cookies. Your choices are kept in this browser. Ask again, in Settings → Privacy, forgets the sites you chose to always load.
